The 2009 Ingham County/Lansing Area Skywarn training was held on Saturday March 7 at the Lansing Community College West Campus in Delta Township. Over 150 were in attendance for the Skywarn program put on by the National Weather Services' new Warning Coordination Meteorlogist (WCM) Jamie Bielinski.

A great lunch was provided to all attendees free of charge thanks to LCC. After lunch, this years guest speaker was Meteorologist Rob Dale formerly of WLNS TV 6 in Lansing giving a talk on Mid-Michigan Tornadoes and severe weather in large outdoor venues.

Thank you to everyone that came out for making this years Skywarn training another smashing success. The Lansing ARPSC group would also like to thank Ken Jones (KD8HPX) and the LCC Emergency Management & Safety Services Department for sponsoring this years event.
