How do I obtain my Amateur Radio license?

Earning your technician class license is very simple and doesn't require you learn Morse Code. The Element 2 technician exam consists of 35 multiple choice questions which require a 70% or better to pass on.

Occasionally we will hold classes if there is enough interest to warrant doing so. If you want to go ahead and get your license on your own, it is very easy to do so. You will want to get and read the HAM Radio License Manual Book. It will provide you all of the information you need to pass your Technician Element 2 exam.

Once you read the HAM Radio License Manual, you'll want to take some practice exams online at qrz.com.

Once you are ready to take your exam, you will want to find a Testing session nearby.

More information can be found here.

The Lansing ARPSC will be sponsoring a class on January 5th for people wishing to get their HAM radio licenses. We will have more details forthcoming.
