Each year Amateur radio is called out to help with numerous events in the Lansing Area to provide temporary and reliable communications. Participation is highly encouraged for any licensed amateur radio operator.
If you are interested in helping out in any of the events, use the Event Signup form.
Most events are a few hours long and require a bit of walking and are outdoors. Usually a handheld VHF transceiver with charged batteries is sufficient for these events.
