Silver Bells in the City 2007

The 23rd Annual Silver Bells in the City will take place on Friday, November 16, 2007 in downtown Lansing. This event, which attracted 100,000 people in 2006, runs from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. An Electric Light Parade steps off at 6:10 pm at the corner of Lenawee and South Washington Square. It proceeds North on Washington, turns West on Ottawa and continues South on Capitol Avenue.

The website for the event is at http://www.lansingarts.org/silverbells.htm

The City of Lansing has requested approximately 10 Amateur Radio operators to pair up with CERT members to help keep the crowd safe and out of the street. Volunteers will meet before the activities start at the Lansing Police North Precinct. Please remember to bring your City of Lansing ID or you will not be allowed access to the LPD North Precinct building. The event will end when the crowd dies down for the evening.

Please Contact Jeremiah Sevrey(KC8EIA) if you are interested in helping out.
