Pre-Registration for the 2008 Skywarn class is now full. We thank everyone who pre-registered. There will be limited space for walk-ins at the door. Walk-ins will not be provided lunch as we had only a limited number of people we could serve with lunch. Everyone who pre-registered will receive a meal ticket when they sign-in at the door.

Walk-ins will be allowed in on a first come, first served basis. Once we are full there will be no more walk-ins accepted.Thank you for your understanding.

The Lansing ARPSC group along with the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, MI will be offering a SKYWARN Spotters class on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM EDT.

Lunch will be provided by the Lansing Community College Emergency Management & Safety Services Department this year. We thank LCC for their generosity in sponsoring lunch for this event.

Admission and Lunch is free. Lunches will only be provided for those who pre-registered.

All information collected is per the request of the National Weather Service. The Lansing ARPSC group is maintaining the database to help identify trained spotters. Signing up with a username and password is required in order to protect your data. Passwords are encrypted and stored with a non-reversable encryption (MD5) hash which has also been encrypted against a private key.

Contrary to what may have been rumored, the Lansing ARPSC group will be holding Skywarn Training on an annual basis right here in the City of Lansing. We will have the same training that we have in 2008 in the spring of 2009 for anyone interested then.
